Ladies football

Our minor team took on Cahir under lights in Monroe Saturday night. On a fine dry night we were entertained with a top class display that saw our team establish an early lead and extend their dominance as the game progressed. Emma Cronin and Cora Maher opened the scoring with points. A goal from Jenny Everard was cancelled out by a Cahir goal to leave just a point between the sides on ten minutes. From here Moyle Rovers stepped up a gear and four points from play from Kirsty Crotty Ryan and an Emma Cronin goal saw us go the break with a commanding lead of 2-10 to 1-4. The second half belonged to Moyle Rovers and some brilliant points from Aine Fitzgearld saw us close out the game 3-22 to 2-4. Well done to all our girls who worked very hard to secure the win.
