Ladies Football

Our U10 girls played three games on Sunday last in Slievenamon blitz with the first against the home Team Slievenamon .This was a tight hard fought game with very little between the sides. Slievenamon showed great skill and team work and looked dangerous in the attack. Our girls were physically stronger and some tenacious tackling from the defence and great scores from the forwards saw us come out on top. The second game was against Clonmel Og who provided a physically tough resistance and stern test for our girls. Clonmel Og showed a dogged determination in this game right from the start. Our more senior players took up the mantle and rose to the challenge brilliantly.  There was very little between both teams with Clonmel Og getting off to a good start scoring early in the first half. At half time Moyle Rovers regrouped and a great defensive display by our backs limited the opposition. The forwards determination and great team work from all the girls saw us out score our opponents and finish the stronger. The final Game was against a young commercials side. Buoyed on by the great Clonmel og display Moyle rovers performed well and had a comfortable result with the younger girls showing their improvement against a younger and less experienced opposition. Many thanks to the parents who continue to bring their girls and watch them playing each week.
