Due to a walkover received earlier in the competition, Ourselves, loughmore-Castleiney & Moyne Templetuohy face a playoff to decide which 2 team went through to theCounty Quarter finals.

First round saw us in action against Loughmore Castleiney on Monday night(17th Sept) in New Inn. Shane Lonergan got Rovers off to a dream start, shane vollied on a rebound shot on goal to send it to the back of the net in the 58th second of the game. Our defence were excellant holding Loughmore to only scoring 2 points throughout the entire first half. Jack Lonergan, Luke Delahunty & Paul Shanahan added a point each, to leave the half time score Moyle Rovers 1-3 Loughmore Castleiney 0-2. Loughmore Castleiney began to battle back from the beginning scoring 3 unanswered points. It was the 19th Minute before Cillian Crowe score a spectactulor point to opening our scoring in the second half. Shane Lonergan within minutes scored his 2nd goal of the game. Loughmore replied with a point. Shane Lonergan added a point to rovers tally. Loughmore managed one further point before the final whistle. Final Score Moyle Rovers 2-5 Loughmore Castleiney 0-7.

Loughmore will now play Moyne Templetuohy on thursday night and we will play Moyne templetuohy on Sunday.
