On Wednesday 5th September our U16 Hurling took on Carrick Swan in the South Semi Final. 

Swan got the scoring underway with 3 points in the opening 3 minutes,  Peter McGarry replied with 3 points. 

Swan scored a point from a free, Dean English & Adam Maher replied with a point each to give us the lead. 

In the 14th Minutes  Swan scored a goal and quickly added 1-2, to put Swan 2-6 to 0-5 ahead. 

We battled hard and in the 23rd Minute Peter McGarty scored a goal and quickly added a point to bring it back to 3 points between the sides. 

Peter scored another point from play, while Swan replied with a point from play, to leave us a goal down at Half time. 

Half time score Moyle Rovers 1-7 Carrick Swan 2-7

Unfortunately the second half was not as closely contested, despite our best effort Carrick Swan out played and out scored us in the second half. 

Daire luttrell scored our only point of the second half while Carrick Swan scored a further 2-11. 

Final Score Moyle Rovers 1-8 Carrick Swan 4-18
