Senior

On Wednesday last we travelled to Solohead to take on Arravale Rovers in the next round of the hurling league.  Unfortunately Conceeding goals was our downfall. It was a good competitive game of hurling, on a sunny evening.  Final score  Moyle Rovers 0-21 Arravale Rovers 4-18.

This wednesday our Senior Footballers take on Ballyporeen in the next round of the football league, with one win already under our belts, we are hoping for another victory wednesday night, This game is at home in monroe so come out to support the team.

Bank holiday weekend see our Intermediate & Junior "A" Footballers get their South Championship underway.  Our Intermediate take on Commercial  on Saturday evening and Junior "A" take on Newcastle on Monday evening.

 

Juvenile

U14 South Football Semi Final

On Thursday evening last our U14 took on Kilsheelan Kilcash in teh U14 "A" South Semi Final. It was a super competitive games with very little between the sides, and plenty of skill on display. Paddy O Keeffe accounted for almost all our scores in the first half scoring 1-3 while team mate Tom O Dea converted a penalty in the closing stage of the first half. half time score Moyle Rovers 2-3 Kilsheelan/Kilcash 2-0 The second half was hard fough with both defences protecting their goals. Our defenders held Kilsheelan/Kilcash to scoring only 5 points, while again Tom O Dea and Paddy O Keeffe were on hand to score 3 points, to leave us 1 point ahead at the final whistle. Final score Moyle Rovers 2-6 Kilsheelan/Kilcash 2-5. Best of luck in the Final to the boys and their mentors.

 

Ladies Football

The seniors played Brian Borus in the league seminal in Monroe Thursday night. Both sides were without their county panellists. After a fairly even first half Brian Borus upped their game in the second half and ran out comfortable winners.

County Scene

Commisseration to Alan Campbell, Liam Boland, Ciaran Kenrick, Luke Boland, David McGrath  Sean Carey & Tipp Senior Football after suffering a heavy defeat to Cork in the Munster Semi Final on Saturday evening last,  Back door system we go again, try and show the players your support as they face their first apponents on the Weekend of 24th June.

Tipperary U 14s Ladies continued their winning ways and comprehensively defeated Westmeath in the all-Ireland semi-final played in Banagher on Sunday. Tipperary now contest the All-Ireland final. Our club representative on the team is Kate Moore and Kate leads the team as captain. This is a great honour for Kate her family and the club and all in Moyle Rovers wish Kate and the Tipperary team all the best in the All-Ireland final against Mayo, due to be played the Weekend of 17th June.  

 

County Board Draw

The first draw of the new County Board draw took place last friday evening.  Congratulations to our 2 club tickets that won small prizes in the draw, Jonie O'Connor €500 and Ger Mckenna €200. 

We would take the opportunity to Thank Club County BOard Draw Co-ordinator Seamus Norris and all our promoters for all their hard work over the past couple of week.
