Loreto Clonmel play in the Post Primary A All-Ireland final this Saturday, April 14th,in Kinnegad at 3.00pm. It is a massive achievement and is hugely significant for the school to contest the A All-Ireland final. Our girls on the Loreto panel are Cora Maher who is the captain, Jenny Everard, Aine Fitzgearld, Roweena Dowling, Rosin Breen, Emma Moore and Caoimhe Mulcahy. We wish them and the school all the best on this historic occasion. There was plenty of action on the county scene last week end and we had a number of players involved with various County teams.

County Scene

The Tipperary senior team played Waterford in their last league game and unfortunately their great unbeaten run of twenty one games came to an end. Our Girls on the Tipperary Panel are Gillian O’Brien, Sarah Everard, Rosin McGrath, Niamh Lonergan, Jenny Everard and Aine Fitzgearld and we wish them all the best in league Semi-final where they play Armagh in two weeks’ time. Aine Fitzgearld and Emma Cronin played with Tipperary in the Munster A semi-final on Saturday against Kerry. The Tipp team were narrowly defeated by two points. Both teams were level heading into the closing stages of the game. This is a tremendous achievement for Ladies football in Tipperary.

The Tipperary minor team was managed by Tony Smith and Owen Fogarty is a selector.

The Under 16s were defeated by Cork in the round robin series of the A competition but will meet Cork again in the Munster semi Final. Michelle Cronin is our representative on this team.

The Tipperary Under 14 team play in a Munster final against Clare and the Tipperary team is captained by Kate Moore our sole representative
