U6 - On Wednesday last we travelled to Killenaule to participate in a hurling challenge against Killenaule and Mullinahone. We fielded two teams and a most enjoyable evenings hurling had.
We had a hurling training session Saturday morning, again a very enjoyable mornings hurling had, and great to see the progress being made by our players.

U12s - Our U12 "C" hurlers took on skeeninarinka in south Semi Final in Cahir last Friday night. Cillian O Halloran opening with a point from play. Skeeninarinky replied with 3 points. Then 2 goals scored by Ben Darcy & Mathew Buckley. Skeheenarinky replied with a goal and a point to leave the sides level at half time. Again Cillian O Halloran opening the scoring with a point, but Skeheenarinky took control scoring 2-1 without reply. This left us 6 points down with 11mins to play. A great long range free from John cronin, resulted in Briain Morrison send the sliotars to the back of the net. This group of boys showed great work rate and never say die attitude, which paid off in the end. A ball into the goal mouth, gave the opportunity for Cathal o Gorman to pull on the ball and send it to the back of the net to level up the game just as the time was up. The sides were level and we now were facing extra time. Despite these boys best effort in extra time, Skeheenarinky were the stronger in the 10 minutes of extra time. Scoring a further 1-3, while our forwards were held scoreless. Final score Moyle Rovers 4-2 Skeheenarinky 4-8. These group of young boys are a credit to their mentors and themselves for their galant efforts.
